Scam Targeting Martial Arts Instructors

There is currently a scam e-mail making the rounds, this time targeting martial arts instructors. Yesterday, dozens of the instructors in our organization got the same email, as follows:
Hello, I am Mr Rhodes Cremas. I contact you on Dojo training.Well my Daughter (Jullie) is coming to stay with her freind in North America for 2 months and i want you to help me teaching her perfectly. So Note: my Daughter Jullie is just a beginner, so please kindly teach her well. Also kindly let me know your charges cost per lesson, inorder for me to arrange for her payment before her travel. Please Advise back on 1. The cost of an hour lesson. 2. And payment method ( Let me know if you will accept your payment by check) I will be glad to read from you soonest. Best regards, Mr Rhodes Cremas.
This is apparently a variant of the Nigerian check cashing scam that is so prevalent - so watch out. Don't give this guy your personal information and certainly don't cash a check for him.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I googled the name and found your post. I am an kettlebell instructor and got an email from Christine Cremas which looks very similar to what you posted.
    Thanks again,

    Greetings to you,

I don't know what you are up to, with your sudden
silence over the payment you receive from my client, I
mailed you telling you about the payment and instructions on
how to go about the payment, but you never reply back.

In a bad state of mind, we have lost alot of things due to
    your silence over the payment.

If you knew that you are not ready to work you should
have not given down your details to me. I am sure you are
aware of the fact that you can never abscond with companys
funds and if your intention is to make away with the
companys fund, you will face the penalty and will be sue to
court. So I will urge you to get back to me within 48 hours
if only you don't want to face the penalty. Your
response is needed urgently concerning this payment and I
need you to get back to me ASAP.

I will await your urgent response within 48 hours or else
your details will be forward to the FBI and I can bet it
with you that you can never make away with the company
    funds.
Have a nice day and do expect the FBI visitation if you
    fail to comply
    with my instructions.

  5. This is almost certainly NOT the same Roy Dean. I don't figure he's in the business of running email scams - but I'll forward your comment to the real Roy Dean so he can respond to you...
